This is the second part of the desk review “Analysis of Poverty in Mozambique” a study for the group of bilateral donors (G19) conducted through an agreement with the Royal Dutch Embassy in Maputo. The terms of reference and the first part of the study are attached as Annex 3. The latter consisted of a quick assessment of the report “Poverty and Wellbeing in Mozambique: Third National Poverty Assessment” (MPD-DNEAP, 2010). This second part has the objective to provide an in-depth analysis of poverty pattern since 1997 based primarily on three large-scale household surveys that also form the backbone of the MPD-DNEAP report.

Esta é a segunda parte da revisão documental da "Análise da Pobreza em Moçambique", um estudo para o grupo de doadores bilaterais (G19) realizado através de um acordo com Embaixada do Reino dos Países Baixos em Maputo. Esta última consistiu de uma breve avaliação do relatório "Pobreza e Bem-Estar em Moçambique: Terceira Avaliação Nacional da Pobreza" (MPD-DNEAP, 2010). Esta segunda parte tem como objectivo fornecer uma análise aprofundada do padrão de pobreza desde 1997, baseada principalmente em três inquéritos de grande escala aos agregados familiares, que também formam a espinha dorsal do relatório MPD-DNEAP.

Three years of Delivering as One piloting in Mozambique have emerged more visible results in 2009, especial in UN Agency joint programmes, measured as progress in achieving UNDAF outcomes. The Resident Coordinator's Annual Report reflects the results of all the five Ones; One Leader, One Programme, One Office, the Common Budgetary Framework and the One Fund, and Communicating as One approach. It also tells the lessons learned and the way forward.
